cath.org.uk is a website operated by Chester Aid to the Homeless, a charity registered in England and Wales under charity number 1074401. Our address is CATH, The Bluecoat, Upper Northgate Street, Chester, CH1 4EE. Reference to “we”, “our”, “us” in these Terms is to Chester Aid to the Homeless.
2. Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you:
2.1. information that you provide by filling in forms on the Website. This includes information provided when you request further information or services from us. We may also ask you for your information when you report a problem with the Website;
2.2. if you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence;
2.3. we may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them; and
2.4. details of your visits to the Website, as set out in more detail in paragraph 4 below.
3. Data protection legislation
We will only use the personal data that you provide to us in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”). For the purposes of the Act, we are the data controller.
4. IP addresses
4.1. We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is anonymous statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
5. What we may do with your information
5.1. By providing any personal information you accept and agree that we may use such personal information:
a) to allow us to respond to your enquiries and requests efficiently;
b) to contact you by telephone, post and/or email about any developments and/or properties that may be of interest to you in the future (where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes);

5.3. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Website; any transmission is at your own risk. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the form(s) we use to collect your data.
